I always enjoyed Akshay’s performances in movies like Oh My God, Special 26, Baby, Gabbar but Airlift is by far the best. The entire crew gave a stellar performance. This movie is based on a true incident. The film follows Ranjit Katyal (Akshay Kumar), a Kuwait-based businessman who carries out the biggest civil operation of the evacuations of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war carried out during the reign of President Saddam Hussein of Iraq.
The movie has lived up to critics’ expectations. Akshay Kumar did a wonderful job and it made me so proud and his each and every movie makes me realize what a great actor he is. His passion gets translated so well on screen. And that scene in the end where they raised the Indian flag and the sound of people clapping in a theatre filled my ears, it was such an incredible feeling because I felt connected to every individual there. If you want to experience a world-class cinematic feel, go and watch Airlift. It is a must-watch movie. It is surely one of the best movies to come out this year and will pick up with a strong word of mouth. We should see sensible cinema-like airlifts rather than some stupid nonsense masala movies. Akshay Kumar has made a place in all our hearts and we will never forget him. Hats off to the entire Airlift team, you’ve made India proud.#proudToBeIndian
