 Rajpal Yadav is an Indian film actor, known for his comic roles in Hindi Movies. He was born and brought up in Mumbai Lucknow capital of Uttar Pradesh, where he received his primary education. He was associated with Shahjahanpur theatre and performed in lots of plays before going to Lucknow for theater training in the Bhartendu Natya Academy during 1992-94. After two years course there, he went to the National School of Drama during 1994-97 in Delhi. Thereafter, he moved to Mumbai in 1997 to pursue his career in the Indian Film Industry. He acted in the Doordarshan’s television serial Mungeri Ke Bhai Naurangilal as the main protagonist.

Although Yadav found success in negative roles,he has preferred comic roles such as in Pyaar Tune Kya and went on to become a prolific comedian in Hindi films. Despite comedy being his main orientation, Yadav has had leading character roles in films like Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon, Ladies Tailor, Khusti, Mirch, Meri Patni Aur Woh, Hello! Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain, Main, Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama.Yadav was awarded by the Janpad Ratna Award. Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh is one of the Best Rajpal Yadav movies.It is a Hindi romantic comedy film, directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It was released on October 7, 2005 starring Rajpal Yadav, Varun Badola, Rituparna Sengupta, Kay Kay Menon. The movie is about a short yet qualified middle aged man named Mithilesh played by Rajpal Yadav and his insecurities about his height and personality when he gets married to Veena played by Rituparna Sengupta.He becomes jealous about his friend Saleem, played by Varun Badola, Veena’s childhood friend Akash, played by Kay Kay Menon and others who he claims have an infatuation with his wife. The hidden truth revealed at the end,and brings the couple together.

Hello! Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain is a Bollywood film starring Rajpal Yadav and Preeti Mehra in the lead roles. It was released on January 15, 2010 directed by Dildeep Shukla and produced by Nazim Rizvi. It was released under the banner of Emaar film International Unit and Whispering Shadows Entertainment. The music of this film was composed by Surendra Sodhi and Vijay Verma. The cinematography of movie was done by Tapan Basu. It is also one of the best Rajpal Yadav movies and done a good business at small cities especially in the state of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

3. Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon (2003)

Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon is a 2003 Bollywood film directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ram Gopal Varma.It was released on 17 october 2003 starring Antara Mali, Rajpal Yadav. The story follows a poor, uneducated woman (Antara Mali) who is a huge fan of famous Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit to the extent that she aspires to become the new Madhuri Dixit by attempting to join the Bollywood film industry. The film was shot in Mumbai, India. The film received decent reviews upon release,with critics praising the films direction. Rajpal Yadav received the Yash Bharati Award for this film.

 4. Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain (2014)

Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain is a historical-drama film set amidst the Bhopal disater that had occured in India on 2-3 December 1984.It is directed by Ravi Kumar and produced by Ravi Walia. It was released on 5 December 2014 starring Martin Sheen, Mischa Barton, Rajpal Yadav, Kal Penn, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Fagun Thakrar, Vineet Kumar, Lisa Dwan. Benjamin Wallfisch composed the film’s music. Kumar got the idea pf making a film based on the Bhopal disaster after he read a book based on it. Shot over a period of 18 months,it was originally slated for a late 2010 release.However, the lack of responses from distributors kept on delaying the release. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the actor’s portrayal of their respective characters but called Barton’s characters unnecessary. The Madhya Pradesh government exempted the film from paying tax. It is one of the top Rajpal Yadav movies and his performance was appreciated by the audience.

Hungama is a Bollywood comedy film co-written and directed by Priyadarshan. It was released on 1 August 2003 starring Paresh Rawal, Aftab Shivdasani,Akshaye Khanna, Rajpal Yadav, Rimi Sen. It was an adaptation of Priyadarshan’s own 1984 film Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, which itself was based on Charles Dicken’ play,The Strange Gentleman. In this film, Anjali has run away from a small village to get a job in Mumbai, where she hopes to make enough money to pay off the debts her family owes their landlord or else she will have to marry the landlord’s son , Raja. Once she arrives in the city, the only way she can find cheap lodging is by pretending to be married to a total stranger, Nandu, an aspiring musician, an arrangement thought up by local milkman and fixer, Bhola. Anjali and Nandu don’t get along but must make do to retain their low-rent accommadation.

6. Chup Chup Ke (2006)

Chup Chup ke (English:Quietly) is a Bollywood film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The story of the film is adapted from the Malayalam film Punjabi House (1998),with a tagline of “Love meets confusion meets Love”. The film was released on 9 June 2006 has Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in their third film together along with actors, Neha Dhupia, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Om Puri and Anupam Kher. The film was an above average at the box-office. All lyrics written by Sameer, all music composed by Himesh Reshammiya.

Dhol (English:Drum) is a Bollywood comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Satish Kaushik. It was released on September 21, 2007 starring Sharman Joshi, Tusshar kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, kunal kherru, Tanushree Dutta. The story borrows subplots from 1990 Malayalam film In Harihar Nagar written by Siddique -Lal. The film received mixed response from critics as well as public upon release, however it was a moderate box office success. Pankaj, Sameer, Martand and Gautam are bound together by their ambition to make it big in life with the least effort possible. Each one tries his hand at finding a short cut to success but ends up being in even deeper trouble.

8. Khatta Meetha (2010)

Khatta Meetha (English:Sweet and Sour) is a Hindi Comic Satire film written and directed by Priyadarshan. It was released on July 23, 2010 starring Akshay Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Urvashi Sharma, Rajpal Yadav. The film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s previous Malayalam film Vellanakalude Nadu(1988),scripted by Screenivasan. The film was produced by Shree Asthavinayak Cine Vision Ltd and Hari Om Productions. The film revolves around a struggling road constructor,Sachin Tichkule. He dreams big, but there seems to be no chance of his dreams coming true as he doesn’t have any money to bride the bureaucracy. His family have lost faith in him, telling him to earn money.

Ladies Tailor is a Bollywood movie directed by Udyakanth. It was also one of the good movies of Rajpal Yadav which was released on July 7, 2006 starring Rajpal yadav. Kim Sharma, Mukesh Rushi, Razak Khan,Preeti Bhutani,Sonika Gill, Dinesh Hingoo, Manoj Palwa, Vikram,Hina Tasleem. In this film, Chander is the only tailor in his colony.Though talented, he is very lazy.He dreams of becoming big and live like a superstar. The music was composed by Nishadh Chandra.

Malamaal Weekly is a Bollywood comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Suresh Balaje. It was released on 10 March 2006 starring paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav, Reema Sen, Ritesh Deshmukh. The storyline has similarities with Waking Ned Devine. The film was rated poorly by most critics in India but was a surprise hit among cinema-goers.The film was remade in Telugu as Bhagyalakshmi Bumper Draw, in Kannada as Dakota Picture and in Malayalam as “Aamayum Muyalum”. The film takes place in the impoverished village of Laholi where following droughts, most of the villagers’possessions are convey to the local Thakurani  Karamkali. One of the few entertainments the villagers can afford is the lottery, Malaamal Weekly.(Malaamal in Hindi means ‘rich’).
