Ravi Shankar Raju Bhupatiraju aka Ravi Teja is an Indian film actor who was born on 26 January 1968 in Jaggampeta, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is famous for his work mostly in Telugu cinema and also famous for his comic and action roles. He is also known as Mass Maharaja, Mass Raja, crazy star. He had done many movies in his career. His dialogue delivery is always appreciated by the audiences. Bollywood super duper hit movie Rowdy Rathore starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha was the remake of Ravi Teja’s Vikramarkudu/Pratighat. He was born to Raj Gopal Raju and Rajya Lakshmi Bhupatiraju in the village of Jaggampeta, Andhra Pradesh, India.Teja ‘s father was a pharmacist and his mother was a homemaker. He is the eldest of three sons, the others being Bharath and Raghu, who are also actors. He spent most of his childhood in Northern India because his father used to move very often due to his work. In 1988 he went to Chennai to start his career in films.
He is generally regarded as one of the most popular and highest paid actors of Tollywood Industry who has appeared in over a sixty movies. He won the Nandi Special Jury Award in 1999 and 2002 for his performance in the movies Nee Kosam (1999) and Khadgam (2002) and also won the state Nandi Award for best actor for his movie Neninthe(2008).
