After months or say years, the stars of “Friends” are meeting up for a special reunion to honor the Iconic Sitcom 25th Anniversary. The cast is set to gather for an unscripted special reunion, which will stream on HBO’s Max. Movienasha will give you this opportunity.
Since the six pals walked off hand in hand, viewers have been patiently waiting for a hint of their return. To find out, we sourced through the show’s teaser to find clues about the upcoming reunion. Here’s everything we were able to deduce about Friends: The Reunion special, which is premiering on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
The Friends Reunion called “The One Where They Get Back Together” got the first teaser, teasing the cast walking arm in arm. A few days later, the full trailer clip dropped showing the cast exchanging laughter and tears down memory lane.
Friends Reunion: ALL THE STARS ARE COMING BACK
That’s great news for Friends fanatics. The friends were on a break for a long time, but now they are all set to reunite for a special event and you can watch all of them again on a screen. All favorites Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (Chandler), and David Schwimmer (Ross) will reunite at the original Friends’ original soundstage, Stage 24, at Warner Bros, in Burbank, California.
Friends: The Reunion was produced under the guidance of the famous writer and executive producer Ben Winston, along with executive producers Emma Conway, Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, David Crane, and James Longman.
The stars confirmed the reunion in February 2020 by sharing the same photo from Friends on Instagram with a heart-touching caption “It’s happening… ” and tagged all their Friends. This image is from May 18, 1995, which was shot by Mark Seliger.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE OF FRIENDS: THE REUNION
HBO Max confirmed on February 21, 2020, that a reunion of Friends is would be launching in May. But in March 2020, multiple outlets reported that the project that was initially slated to film on March 23rd and March 24th,2020 was postponed until May 2020 due to the Covid- 19 Pandemic.
There were hopes that production would begin in the summer of 2020 but it was pushed back indefinitely due to the pandemic and lockdown restrictions.
Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) stated in an Interview “we don’t want to spoil viewer’s fun that’s why aren’t looking for an option of the virtual meet”. Aniston also said, “this delay will be going to bring more excitement and fun than it would have been.” She believes in this way they are stuck with the audience for life, which is true though.
The reunion was delayed again and again but they ensure there’s no question of canceling it and this will going to happen once the situation is under control.

The following month, it was revealed that the cast would be raising money for America’s Food Fund to help families amid the Covid-19 Pandemic. The contest is part of the “All In Challenge” and fans can get an entry by donating money into a relief fund. With $10 getting you 10 entries, $25 getting you 25 entries, and so on. The winner will get a chance to visit Warner Bros. Studio for free along with 5 friends and to have coffee with the stars.

The Friends Reunion star will reunite for a unique occasion and revisit the set to share behind-the-scenes shots and have surprises for the audience, but they won’t be portraying their beloved characters. They’ll be appearing in their original selves and will be sharing a fun time.
The HBO Max clearly explained in a statement “Lastly; in order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves in a reunion, not as their beloved characters.”
In November 2020, Matthew Perry, our well-known Chandler, tweeted that the production was rescheduled for the start of March 2021.
Filming began and concluded during April’s first week, as indicated by a report from The Hollywood Reporter and the official Friends account on Instagram.
The six pals were being offered a payment of between $2.5 Million and $3 Million each for Friends: The Friends Reunion special coming on May 27, 2021. This is much more than the actual pay for Friends that came earlier. That’s all because of the love that the audience shows towards the much-awaited reunion special.
STARS REMINISCE ABOUT THEIR TIME WITH FRIENDS
All of them were very excited as they were going to meet for the first time, in a room, and going to talk about the show Friends Reunion. Courteney Cox said, “we’re going to have the best time” in an interview. She added that it was just the second time they had all been united since the show ended. She added “It’s going to be great. We really haven’t all done that and sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had.”
THE EPISODE WILL FEATURE AN INTERESTING ARRAY OF GUESTS
The release date was announced in mid-May 2021 in a teaser. The reunion will also feature 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and additional celebrities, from former cast members to fans of the show.
