Every person has the right to change their religion. Each and every person whether he/she is a celebrity or a common person has the right to change the religion. Every person has a different aspect to change the religion. Some change their religion because of love, some change their religion to attain spirituality, some change their religion because of education, geography, marital status, and so on. South Indian Celebrities Who Have Changed Their Religion
1. Nayanthara: (Nayanthara Converted to Hinduism):
Nayanthara, aka Diana Mariam Kurian, is an Indian film actress and model, was born on 18 November 1984 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. She is basically famous for her work in South Indian movies. She is one of the most successful actresses in Tamil cinema. She is likewise called a “Female Super Star of Tamil Cinema” and otherwise called “The glamour queen of Tamil cinema”.
She was born and brought up as a Syrian Christian; later she converted to Hinduism at the Arya Samaj Temple in Chennai.
2. AR Rahman: (AR Rehman Converted to Muslim):
Allahrakka Rahman, born A. S. Dileep Kumar, best known as A.R. Rahman, is an Indian composer, singer, songwriter, musician, philanthropist, and music producer who was born on 6 January 1967 in Madras, Tamil Nadu, India. He converted to the Muslim community in 1989 and changed his name to Alla-Rakha Rahman.
3. Nagma: (Nagma Converted to Christianity):
Nagma, born Nandita Arvind Morarji, is an Indian politician and former actress who was born on 25 December 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is basically famous for her roles in Telugu and Tamil movies. She began her acting career in Bollywood and acted in a few of the biggest Bollywood movies and in other languages. She was born to a Muslim mother and a Hindu father. But she found faith in Christianity. She tool baptism in 2007.
4. Lissy: (Lissy Converted to Hinduism):
Lissy Lakshmi is a former Indian actress who was born on 3 February 1967 in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. She has basically appeared in Malayalam movies. She has also acted in some Tamil and Telugu movies. Lissy was introduced in Tamil by Kamal Haasan as his heroine in his home production, Vikram (1986). She quit acting after her marriage to film director Priyadarshan in 1990.
Lissy was born in a Christian family after her love marriage with Priyadarshan, she converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Lakshmi.
5. Kushboo: (Kushboo Converted to Hinduism):
Khushbu Sundar is an Indian film actress, television presenter, and producer who was born on 29 September 1970 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is basically famous for her work in the South Indian film Industry. She has acted in more than 200 movies. She has received five Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Actress and won the Kerala State Film Award – Special Mention.

6. Monica: (Monica Converted to Islam):
Monica, born Rekha Maruthitraj, is a former Indian film actress who was born on 25 August 1987 in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. She basically appeared in Tamil language movies. Popular Tamil actress Monica, who is known for her movies like Azhagi and Silanthi, converted to Islam in 2014, changing her name to M. G. Rahima, and announcing that she had quit acting.
7. Annie: (Annie Converted to Hinduism):
Chitra Shaji Kailas, born Annie Jobbie), is an Indian film actress and television presenter from Palai, Kerala, India. She basically appears in Malayalam movies and the television industry. Her film career crossed three years from 1993 to 1996 with a total of 16 movies in Malayalam cinema; she retired from acting post-marriage and returned as a television presenter in 2015.
Annie is from a Christian family and converted to Hinduism after she got married to Shaji Kailas and changed her name to Chitra Shaji Kailas.
8. Jomal: (Jomal Converted to Hinduism):
Gauri Chandrashekar Pillai, born Joma John aka Jomal, is a popular film actress in Malayalam cinema who was born on 1 January 1982 in Koodathayi near Thamarassery in Kozhikode district. Her father was an entrepreneur and her mother Molly was a nurse in Saudi Arabia. In 1997, she won the Kerala State Film Award for best actress for her role in Ennu Swantham Janakikutty and also a special jury mention from the National Film Awards.
Actress Jomal is Christian by birth, but after she got married to Chandrashekar Pillai, she converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Gauri Chandrashekar Pillai.
9. Yuvan Shankar Raja: (Yuvan Shankar Raja Converted to Islam):
Yuvan Shankar Raja is an Indian singer, songwriter, music composer, music producer, playback singer, film producer, and film score who was born on August 31 1979 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is also known as U1, King of BGM, and Little Maestro. He has basically scored music for Tamil movies.
Yuvan made the revelation that he had found faith in Islam on Twitter. It is believed that he has been practicing Islam since his mother passed away.
10. Beena Antony: (Beena Antony Converted to Hinduism):
Beena Antony is a television actress who was born on 19 June 1972 in Manjummel Ernakulam, Kerala. She basically works in Malayalam television serials. She is one of the most famous names in the Malayalam TV serial industry. She mainly appeared in supporting roles. She has appeared in popular television series, including Mayaseetha, Autograph, Tapasya, Ente Manasaputhri, and Ommanathingalpakshi.
She converted to Hinduism after her marriage to Manoj Nair.
