Waar is  one of the best Pakistani Movies directed by Bilal Lashari, Produced and written by Hassan Waqas Rana. It was released on 16 October 2013 starring Shaan Shahid, Shamoon Abbasi, Ali Azmat, Meesha Shafi,Ayesha Khan.It is the highest grossing Pakistani film based on the war on terror in Pakistan including the attack on a Police Academy at Lahore in 2009.

The movie title “Waar” is an Urdu language word meaning “to strike”. It is basically a English language movie with some dialogues in Urdu. The movie received positive reviews from crtiics.The movie took three years to complete. The movie won many awards including Best Action, Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Star Debut Female, Best Actor in a Negative role, Best Cinematography. It is the Pakistani movie released in Australian cinemas.

2. Bol (2011)

Bol (English meaning Speak) is a social drama Pakistani movie directed by Saqlain Nawaz and produced by Shoaib Mansoor. It was released on 24 June 2011 starring Atif Aslam, Humaima Malik, Mahira Khan, Iman Ali, Amr Kashmiri, Shafqat Cheema, Manzar Sehbai, Zaib Rehman. The objective of the movie was to advocate for women’s rights by bringing the focus of media and the elite of Pakistan to family planning and gender issues.

It concerns about a religious Muslim family who is facing many financial difficulties. It is one of the top Pakistani Movies which received highly positive reviews from critics. The movie done a good buiness at the box-office and won many awards like Best Film, Best Film Actor, Best Film Actress at Lux Style Awards. The song of the movie was very good nominated for Song of the Year, Best Playback Singer, Best Original Sound Track .

3. Na Maloom Afraad (2014)

Na Maloom Afraad (English meaning unknown persons) is one of the leading Pakistani movies on Comedy thriller. It was directed and written by Nabeel Qureshi, produced by Fizza Ali Meerza.It was released on October 6, 2014 starring Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh, Mohsin Abbas Haider. The story is based on confusion and disorder in the city of lights Karachi. The three character run around in the city of Karachi bringing out the craziest plan to save their lives,

4. Khuda Kay Liye (2007)

Khuda Kay Liye (translation:”For God’s Sake”, English Title:”In The Name of God”) is a pakistani Urdu language drama film directed by Shoaib Mansoor and produced by Shoman Production. It was released on 20 July 2007 starring Shaan, Naseeruddin Shah, Fawad Afzal Khan, Iman Ali, Hameed Sheikh. The movie received generally positive reviews, though some religious “conservatives” criticized the movie and called for a ban in Pakistan. It resulted in a grand opening and turned out to be a Hit. It received a critical as well as commercial success in India and Pakistan. It won numerous awards including Lux Style Awards for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Soundtrack in 2008 and many others.

O21 (or Operation 21 formerly The Extortionist) is a Pakistani spy thriller film directed by Jami,co-directed by Summer Nicks, produced by Zeba Bakhtiar and Azaan Sami Khan. It was released on October 6, 2014 starring Shaan Shahid, Shamoon Abbasi, Aamina Sheikh, Ayub Khoso, Gohar Rasheed. It is one of the first spy action Pakistani movies and done a good business at the box-office. O21 is the 576th feature film of Shaan’s career.

7. Zinda Bhaag (2013)

Zinda Bhaag is a Pakistani Punjabi-language drama film directed by Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi and produced by Mazhar Zaidi. It was released on September 20, 2013 starring Naseeruddin Shah, Amna Ilyas, Khurram Patras, Salman Ahmad Khan, Zohaib Asghar. The movie was not nominated but was selected as the Pakistani entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, the first in over 50 years. The movie is about three young men who trying to succeed in ways they had least expected and make an effort to escape the reality of their everyday lives. The movie won four awards at the International South Asian Film Festival in Canada.

8. Chambaili (2013)

Chambaili is a Pakistani Urdu-language political thriller film directed by Ismail Jilani and produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Shahzad Nawaz. It was released on April 26, 2013 starring Khalid Ahmed, Shafqat Cheema, Salman Peerzada, Maira Khan, Ali Tahir, Shahzad Nawaz. It is the first political Pakistani movie in the history of Pakistani Cinema. It investigate on the subject of political corruption. The movie has the most music videos of any Pakistani movies (Eight). Political parties in the country played songs from its soundtrack during campaign rallies as the music of the film is the part of political and social activities.

Jalaibee is a Pakistani caper action thriller film directed by Yasir Jaswal and produced by Eman Syed. It was released on March 20, 2015 starring Danish Taimoor, Ali Safina. It is the first Pakistani movie to be shot with Arri Alexa camera. It is the story of many relatable characters who are fighting with their problems.It is one of the first Pakistani movies which collected Rs. 5 million before its release. The movie features 10 tracks by varoius artists including Uzair Jaswal, Humaira Arshad, Qayaas.

10. Ramchand Pakistani (2008)

Ramchand Pakistani is an Urdu-language Pakistani drama film directed by Mehreen Jabbar, produced and written by Javed Jabbar. It was released on October 2, 2008 starring Nandita Das, Rashid Farooqi, Syed Fazel Hussain, Maria Wasti, Noman Ijaz. The movie is based on a true story of a boy who accidentally crosses the border between Pakistan and India and the following trial that his family has to go through. It is a good movie to watch.This movie won numerous awards like Best Film Award, Best Actor, FIPRESCI Prize, Satyajit Ray Award and many others.
