Abhay Singh Deol (born 15 March 1976) is an Indian film actor and Producer. He has done very few movies who come into sight in the Hindi language films of Bollywood. He had done around 19 movies in his career. He decided to complete his education before pursue a career in film industry. He made his debut in the film Socha Na Tha directed by Imtiaz Ali. He received critical acclaim for his performance and positive reviews about the movie.He has been praised for the performance in the movie like Ahista Ahista, Honeymoon Travels Pvt.Ltd, Manorama Six Feet Under, OyeLucky! Lucky Oye!, Dev.D. He was born into a Jat Sikh family.
His family has a long background in the Hindi film industry where he is the cousin of Esha Deol, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. Dharmendra is his paternal uncle. 2. Dev.D (2009)
Dev.D is an Indian romantic drama film which is directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It was released on 6 February 2009 starring Abhay Deol, Mahie Gill, Kalki Koechlin. The movie was based on classical Bengali novel Devdas by Sharat Chandra chattopadhyay. Dev.D was sheepish by the media, public and critics. It is also one of the top Abhay Deol movies. In this film Dev.D is a son of a rich industrialist from Punjab, the sugar baron. He is the main protagonist of the movie. He is very audacious, opinionated, impolite, lusty, demanding, self-destructive and impulsive. The original idea of the movie was recommended by Abhay Deol to Anurag Kashyap , who then worked with Vikramaditya Motwane on the script. The movie an average business at the box-office. Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! is a Bollywood black comedy film directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It was released on 21 June 2013 starring Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol. The dubbed Tamil version titled Ambikapathy which was released a week later. The music was composed by A.R.
